Mission Statement

The primary mission of the McKinney High School Orchestra Booster Club (MHSOBC) is to encourage the enrichment of the lives of our young musicians and further their musical interest through an active participation with the orchestra at McKinney High School. Additionally the McKinney High School Orchestra Booster Club will ensure the safety and welfare of the students when travel is involved or at any school function, away from school, or outside regular school hours, in which the orchestra is participating. The McKinney High School Orchestra Booster Club will also help create awareness and advocacy in the community regarding orchestra and will help generate funding ideas for orchestra events.

We are looking forward to an exciting year, and we need your help! The MHS Orchestra Booster Club (MHSOBC) supports the orchestra program by raising funds through donations and fundraising activities, as well as planning, coordinating, and helping at many events throughout the year. Donations and fund-raising are our main sources of funding, so please give us your support! MHSOBC will help fund many aspects of the orchestra program, such as the concert receptions, socials, supplies and equipment for students, financial aid for private lessons, senior scholarships, and the end-of-year banquet.
